New Mexico’s influence…

Inspired by cityscapes, landscapes, geologic rock formations, this Mini Metro bracelet takes influences from the colorful layers and folds in the earth that make up Kitchen Mesa at Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu.

Last Fall I hiked there and was mesmerized by the spectacular colors, textures and forms while noting how Georgia O’keefe captured this natural formation in her paintings. If you’re familiar with her work and then you go there, you see it. Although her paintings weren’t realist, she evoked the essence of this beautiful landscape through her emotive imagery.

Immersing oneself in nature and such spectacular beauty provides a sense of calm and peace.
